Just got a new rescue puppy , and more pictures

Here's probably an interesting insight to my personality....I love animals and have raised some interesting ones, and I have a soft spot for any animal without a mother, or a home.  I have raised 5 baby opossums, bottle feeding and all.  My sister-in-law found them in the mother's pouch after her aged father-in-law killed her for getting in with his chickens.  An unfortunate incident, but they needed a new mommy, and that was....guess who?  Me!  They were adorable and very gentile and sweet.  We turned 3 loose in a reserve, and kept Sophie, and Cosmo.  They were some of the best pets we ever had.  Gentle as could be, litter box trained, loved getting baths, and would follow us around, and would get up and sleep in our laps.  Amazing to how I thought they would be.  We kept them until they passed away at about 3 years old, which is a normal life span for them.

Anyway, today my son brought me a big old lab puppy appeared to be dumped near where he was working, and almost got hit by cars a couple of times.  She's adorable, and seems to be bright and gentle.  I will be posting a pic soon.

Here's a list of some of the more interesting animals I have  raised:  Many wild rabbits, tree frog tadpoles, 2 skunks, 4 robins, a black bird,  2 blue jays, and of course many baby domesticated animals.  It's definitely been a learning and very rewarding experience.

Back to one of my other favorite subjects, crafts!  I am adding  pictures of jewelry I have designed.  I hand painted the ladies faces and the flowers on the wood pieces (which were off a place mat that I took apart), and then strung them on a plastic cording with bead accents top and bottom.

Crochet Bracelet

I think I might be doing the pictures backwards on my posts.  I wish I knew how to do this better.  I would like to post some more pics of things I have made.  I just would like for it to look right.  I have a great many items I would like to get some feedback on, as I haven't shown them to anyone except family.  I think a lot about taking some of the pieces somewhere to see if I could sell them, but I am afraid of rejection.  I'm a rather shy person, so it's hard.   i thought perhaps if I tried a blog it might build my confidence a little.  Please feel free to comment, good or bad, I would love to hear your opinion.

I made this bracelet in about two hours, and it was a lot of fun. One of my DDs came over and  put in an order for one in black, gray, and white,  and my grandaughter wants one in school colors, so at least I know someone liked it!

Here is a picture of the bracelet I made during a late-night session last night.

This is my first blog, so please be patient with me,

I really enjoy reading blogs, so I thought I might like to write one too.  I do a number of crafts, as you could tell by my  profile, and  a lot of times one of my daughters will come over and we will work on a project together.  My little dogs are usually curled up under my chair or are nearby when I am working.
I live in the country,  only a couple of miles from a small town.  When we want to go on a shopping spree, the best places are St. Louis, or Jefferson City.  We have to drive about 35 miles to get to a cinema, if we want to see a movie!  Its a great little town, though, a lot of good people here.

Being a night-owl, i spend many hours crafting until the wee hours of the morning.  I have been known to still be up ferverently working on a project when my husband is getting up to go to work.  Once i start something, I don't like to quit until I have finished.

I made a bracelet last night, I got a picture of it in my head, and started on it late in the evening and didn't finish until 4:00 a.m.  I like it though,  I will post  a picture of it soon.  I had been wanting to use some plastic rings I had gotten at a yard sale, so I decided to crochet with a pretty,  verigated, size 10 crochet thread, around the rings, and wove them together with ribbon, added a clasp. and a pretty bead in the middle, and now have a new colorful bracelet.
